You are planning a party, no matter if birthday party or housewarming party, and you are still missing a real highlight? We have just the thing for you. With a few means and effort can be made from our flat-bottomed glasses a luminous garland. A real eye-catcher for your party.
You will need:
- small vials, we used our 95 cm x 16 cm with smooth rim
- matching corks for the jars, sturdy natural corks
- a drill
- short bend lights, length depending on the vials
- a string
- scissors
Crafting instructions:
Start by drilling holes in the corks, lengthwise, so that you can thread a string through. The size of the hole depends on your choice of string, which will later be the garland. Drill carefully so as not to break the corks and only on a solid surface. Now you can put the bend lights in the jars and close them with the corks. Thread them individually, with some distance, on the string and voila, ready is the light garland.
Optionally, you can additionally fill the glasses with colored paper, or absorbent cotton, which reflects the light, as well as decorate them with bows or stickers. The garland itself can also be additionally decorated with pennants or balloons. There is no limit to your creativity here.
Note: The glow lights only have a glow time of a few hours. Do not bend them until shortly before the party starts. At best, you’ll have some left over to fill the flat-bottomed jars with new lights as the party progresses.
